The Baltimore Orioles have had a busy offseason. Whether it's signings, waiver claims, or trades, Mike Elias has been working the phones this offseason.
But, with Spring Training just getting started, the Orioles were dealt some bad news. Jordan Westburg is hurt and will miss all of April, and potentially longer, with a partially torn UCL. That means the Orioles need more infielders, and specifically, third base depth.
And according to Francys Romero of Beisbolfr.com, the Orioles are doing just that. But the player they're trading for is someone they already traded for once earlier this offseason in third-baseman Bryan Ramos.
Orioles trade for player for 2nd time this offseason
"The Baltimore Orioles have acquired 3B Bryan Ramos from the Cardinals, per sources," Romero reports.
Ramos is a 23-year-old third baseman who's played in 36 games in his MLB career, all with the Chicago White Sox in 2024 and 2025.
But, earlier this offseason, the Orioles traded cash considerations to the White Sox to acquire Ramos at the start of February.
He didn't last long in Baltimore, being released within the week of being acquired by Baltimore, and was then picked up by the St. Louis Cardinals. And now, Ramos was traded back to the Orioles by the Cardinals.

All in all, Ramos had a tumultuous offseason where he bounced between three teams: the White Sox, Orioles, and Cardinals.
He was first traded from the White Sox to the Orioles, then cut by the Orioles, claimed by the Cardinals, and now he's been traded back to the Orioles.
Baltimore has traded for the same player twice in one offseason, adding Ramos back to the roster after losing Westburg for the next few months as he deals with a UCL injury.
