OnePlus launched the Turbo 6 in China back in January, and that phone later served as the basis for the Nord 6, which launched in April. Now, Digital Chat Station on Weibo says a Turbo Pro is on the way too, and it should arrive around the end of the year. The tipster's post has since been edited to just say "good morning", which tends to happen when a brand isn't happy with what he reveals.

The Turbo Pro will allegedly come with a 6.78-inch flat 1.5K screen with a 185Hz refresh rate, the 3nm Qualcomm SM8845 Pro chipset, a 200MP main camera with a large sensor, and a battery of at least 9,000 mAh, with engineering samples in the series going as high as 10,000 mAh. There will reportedly also be an external cooling fan accessory, possibly attached through a case.

If that sounds familiar, it's because the screen size, refresh rate, main camera resolution, and battery capacity all match the recently unveiled OnePlus 16. The chipset is where the two differ, since the OnePlus 16 uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. The SM8845 Pro hasn't been announced yet, but it's also rumored to power the iQOO Z12 Turbo, and according to that leak, it will be marketed as either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 6 or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Pro.

It's unclear what the new OnePlus phone will end up being called - Turbo Pro or Turbo 7 Pro, perhaps? - and whether it will make its way outside of China, like the Turbo 6 did when it became the Nord 6. We'll let you know when we find out more.
