Garrett Wilson’s megawatt smile was back in place on Wednesday when he did a 14-minute interview session with reporters.
Let’s start there, because it felt like the perceived happiness or unhappiness of Wilson was one of the major storylines of the 2024 Jets. The 24-year-old put up big numbers for the third straight season — 101 catches, 1,104 yards and seven touchdowns, all career highs.
But something seemed … off.
Wilson’s frustration on the field was visible at times, something he acknowledged Wednesday he needs to work on. The connection between Wilson and Aaron Rodgers never seemed to develop the way it was expected to during training camp.
