Olivia Wilde, Jason Sudeikis Share a Friendly Hug During Los Angeles Outing
Olivia Wilde isn’t worrying about her viral red carpet appearance, darling.
The Don’t Worry Darling star addressed criticism of her appearance after a video circulated online of her at the San Francisco International Film Festival April 24.
As her brother Charles Cockburn asked in a video shared to her Instagram Stories May 3, “Olivia Wilde, do you care to address recent rumors that you’re a resurrected corpse?”
Editing a photo of Olivia from the now-viral SFGATE interview during the event—where she donned a drop-waist black skirt and white T-shirt—next to a snap of Gollum from The Lord of the Rings, the Tron: Legacy actress reacted to what online users perceived as her slimmed down look.
“Listen, that is a fisheye lens,” Olivia explained of her altered appearance. “And I admit, is that my best angle? Was that my best ever look? No, it’s a startling image.”
“I don’t know why I was so close to the camera,” she continued with a giggle. “I didn’t have to be. That’s not the truth.”
Further driving her point home, the 42-year-old quipped, “I’m not dead.”
She also poked fun at her brother’s line of questioning, writing onscreen, “Leave it to your little brother to give you the maximum amount of s--t.”
Olivia’s reaction comes after she made headlines for a separate appearance following a sweet reunion with her ex Jason Sudeikis.
Indeed, she and the Ted Lasso star—who share son Otis, 12, and daughter Daisy, 9, together—looked to be in good spirits as they shared a hug in Los Angeles April 27.

But their friendly dynamic wasn’t built overnight. After all, the former couple, who broke up in 2020 after nearly 10 years together, initially clashed over custody of their kids, with Olivia being served custody papers while presenting onstage at CinemaCon 2022.
But even amid the legal spat, the Deadfall actress made it clear that her and Jason’s little ones will always be their number one priority.
"My priority is them," she said on The Kelly Clarkson Show in 2022. "That's what it is. It's as long as they're happy and they're healthy then, my ex and I, we agree on that. They are everything to us."
