Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had a bizarre, self-absorbed response when news of his sexting affair with Olivia Nuzzi broke during his presidential campaign last year, the disgraced former DC correspondent reveals in her new book.
“If it’s just sex, I can survive it,” the married politician told her in September 2024 — in an apparent reference to his political career making it through the scandal.

“If it’s just sex, I can survive it,” the married politician told her in September 2024, referencing his political career making it through the scandal. AFP via Getty ImagesNuzzi — an ex-New York Magazine political journalist who met Kennedy during his bid to become US president — told him she would do whatever he needed her to do as the damning news broke, according to a New York Times profile, which previews parts of her book.
Kennedy, 71, is now US Health and Human Services secretary and Nuzzi, 32, is an editor at Vanity Fair.
Her book “American Canto,” which reveals details the racy affair, is set to be released next month
