Ole Miss, Lane Kiffin get 5-star recruit from Texas to make big decision

Lane Kiffin hosted one of the best prospects in the country on the Ole Miss campus this weekend.

It was his first official visit, too, giving the Rebels the chance to make an impressive impression.

Visiting was offensive tackle Felix Ojo, who is ranked as the No. 2 offensive tackle in the entire country. He's a consensus top-10 prospect and five-star recruit.

Interestingly, Ojo is from Mansfield Lake Ridge High School in Texas, not far from the now-SEC rival Longhorns. But he came to see Kiffin first.

Ojo has visits lined up to Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State and Michigan.

Ojo is listed at 6-foot-6, 275 pounds, a pure mountain of an athletic man.

Kiffin already picked up a big win in Texas earlier in the week.

The Rebels got QB Rees Wise to choose Ole Miss. He's from Austin Westlake High School, and he committed to Kiffin and company on Monday.

“I started off with a list of Top 10 schools, really had no clue about these schools, did some research on all of them and kind of got down to a Top 3 and Ole Miss was on it. Started to fall in love before I even got there,” Wise told On3.

Wise is a top-50 QB prospect in the country.

"I kept comparing it to the Masters, that’s how pretty it was. All the flowers and trees, stuff like that. Got to meet a lot more coaches than last time. Really enjoyed that. Staff was amazing. Got to talk to Kiffin a little bit. I just really loved the staff and everything about it. Really cool for me.”

If Ole Miss can somehow reel in Ojo, too, that'd be an incredible recruiting win.
