Leon Draisaitl got to carry the flag of Germany on Friday.
At the Opening Ceremonies for the 2026 Winter Olympics, Draisaitl led the entire German contingent out in Milan with the world watching.
It's quite the incredible honor for the Edmonton Oilers' superstar.

Draisaitl is the best German hockey player of all time, and there's really no question of that at this point.
The Oilers made him the No. 4 overall pick in 2014 out of the WHL, but he's originally from Cologne in Germany.
Draisaitl has won both the Ross (top scorer) and Hart (MVP) trophies in his NHL career.
The 30-year old Draisaitl has played all 845 of his NHL games for the Oilers. He has scored 428 goals and dished out 608 assists (1,036 points).
This season in 55 games, Draisaitl has 29 goals and 51 assists (80 points).
He's on pace for his fifth consecutive season of more than 100 points.
Draisaitl and his German squad will be underdogs to make a deep Olympic run, but with one of the world's best scorers leading the way, both metaphorically and literally, they'll have a chance to pull off a surprise.
