Ohio State Buckeyes commit throws for 562 yards, 5 TDs in blowout victory

The Ohio State Buckeyes are never short on high-end recruits.

It looks like they've got another special one in the form of quarterback Luke Fahey.

Fahey, from Mission Viejo, California, put up a historic passing night Thursday as his squad pulled off a wild 76-49 victory over Los Alamitos to claim the Alpha League title.

The official final line for Fahey was 562 passing yards and five touchdowns.

He had Jack Junker to thank for a lot of that: The wide receiver went for 293 of those yards and grabbed three of the TDs.

Fahey committed to the Buckeyes on July 3.

He's only rated as a three-star QB in the Class of 2026, but clearly Ryan Day and company like what they see.

His other official visits were taken to Indiana, Stanford and Oklahoma State.

Ohio State has a deep QB depth chart, led by current starter Julian Sayin. The Buckeyes also have a true freshman this season, Tavien St. Clair, who was a top-5 QB in his class from nearby Bellefontaine, Ohio.

Fahey is betting on his own talent by choosing Ohio State. It won't be an easy situation to break into.

But if he keeps throwing for 500 yards, he'll certainly bring a bit of extra hype with him. And maybe someday he'll find a way to sling it all around the yard in college football, too.
