Odell Beckham Jr.'s second stint in a Giants uniform was nothing like his first.

After signing with New York in June and making the team's roster in August, initially, Beckham appeared to have a shot to make an impact as a weapon for Jaxson Dart this season. But after Dart's injury, things changed quickly for the Giants — and Beckham was let go after Week 3 before even catching a pass.

On Sunday, Beckham appeared to express his displeasure with how the Giants handled his release on social media, making Instagram comments about his exit.

Here's what Beckham had to say about being cut mid-season by the Giants and his brief return with his original franchise.

On Sept. 29, the Giants released Beckham in order to sign Braxton Berrios to their active roster. In three games, Beckham had managed just 19 snaps and one target, making little impact after being held onto as a fifth wide receiver on the roster, also exciting the Giants' fanbase.

"Had a great conversation with Odell and it's tough," John Harbaugh said of the move, per ESPN. "But we just weren't getting enough. It just wasn't working for us. And like I told him, I wanted to be able to get more. I wanted him to be able to do more. I wanted to get him on the field more.

"Whatever reason, we weren't able to do it. Put it on us. We weren't able to get it done. At this point in time, that's kind of where we were and we needed to move on."

Beckham didn't speak out about his Giants exit until Sunday, when Instagram comments he made revealed his negative feelings toward the team.

In an Instagram comment, Beckham wrote that he "didn't see this one," that "they got me," and that "they won." The veteran receiver noted that he thought he came in "humbly" on a minimum contract and "earned" his roster spot, but he "shoulda known better."

"What hurt my heart to the core is comin home and seeing my son and how happy he was with no idea of what happened," Beckham wrote. "Idk why they even gave me the run along."

"I coulda really been playing this year somewhere and making an impact."

So much for "no hard feelings" between OBJ and the Giants. #NYGIANTS https://t.co/9jgUqFDisb

At the time of his release, Beckham also texted Josina Anderson that he had just been released, and later that "one door closes and another opens."

It's unclear whether the receiver will pursue another opportunity in the NFL this season, but he's now on the open market as the season rolls along.
