NYPD detective shot in Brooklyn, teen suspect in custody: cops, sources

An NYPD officer was shot in Brooklyn Sunday morning and has been rushed to the hospital with minor injuries, cops and sources said.

An 18-year-old suspect has been arrested and a gun has been recovered, sources told The Post.

Cops responded to a 911 call at 4:14 a.m. for shots fired at Nostrand Avenue and St. Johns Place in Crown Heights, the NYPD said.

The officer, a detective, was shot in the vest, and has minor injuries, sources said.

The cop was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

A press conference is expected later on Sunday.
