‘NYPD Blue’ alum Kim Delaney’s husband arrested after she allegedly tried to hit him with car

“NYPD Blue” alum Kim Delaney’s husband, James Morgan, was taken into custody following an alleged verbal dispute at their Los Angeles home on Sunday night.

A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson told Page Six that officers responded to at least three separate calls regarding a noise complaint at the couple’s apartment in the Marina Del Rey area around 10:30 p.m.

Morgan allegedly refused to cooperate with the investigation and was charged with obstructing or delaying a public officer and disturbing the peace.

He was booked at the Marina Del Rey sheriff’s station, but was released as of Monday morning.

A rep for Delaney, 64, wasn’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.

Morgan’s arrest, meanwhile, comes after the actress was granted a restraining order against him due to ongoing alleged abuse and harassment in October, per Us Weekly.

The restraining order prohibited Morgan from coming near Delaney’s homes in Marina Del Rey and New Jersey, and communicating with her.

According to the outlet, Morgan and Delaney, who wed in 2022, have been going through divorce proceedings since March 2023.

At the time, the “All My Children” alum cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split, despite repeatedly putting on a united front with Morgan.

Delaney, meanwhile, was arrested last April after allegedly trying to hit Morgan with her car.

At the time, insiders told TMZ that the duo had been fighting for a few days before law enforcement officers got involved.

Delaney reported Morgan for domestic violence after they allegedly got into a “heated argument that turned physical.”

Morgan had left their shared home that same night but reportedly returned the next morning.

As a result, Delaney informed police officers, and when they arrived, Morgan allegedly told them about his wife’s attempt to hit him with her vehicle and showed them a video.

Delaney was booked with a felony assault with a deadly weapon, and Morgan was charged with misdemeanor battery.

A few days later, the couple seemingly patched up their differences, as Delaney shared a sweet Instagram message to honor her husband’s birthday.

Alongside a photo of a colorful bouquet, she wrote, “Birthday Boy, 55!!!!! Your wife loves you, my guy!🌹.”

However, Delaney has shied away from sharing photos with Morgan since May 2025.
