Nvidia Corp. has committed US$2 billion to Brookfield Asset Management’s global artificial intelligence infrastructure fund, according to investor documents that revealed the size of a previously disclosed investment.

The AI giant is an anchor investor for the Brookfield Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Fund, along with the Kuwait Investment Authority, Brookfield said last year. The fund is focusing on investing in the AI buildout, backing factories, dedicated behind-the-meter power solutions and compute infrastructure.

The New York-based firm has emerged as a key player in providing private capital for the AI buildout. It’s raising US$10 billion for the AI infrastructure fund, as part of a broader plan to raise around US$50 billion for the infrastructure group over the next two years, with AI featuring in every strategy, Bloomberg previously reported.
