Nutjob slaps 2 young kids in unhinged tantrum near NYC’s High Line: cops

A deranged stranger slapped a toddler and an unrelated 7-year-old kid in a twisted midday tantrum steps from the High Line on Wednesday, cops and sources said. 

The attacker – described as an “emotionally disturbed person” – struck the 2-year-old girl and school-aged boy in the face around 12:30 p.m. at West 21st Street and 10th Avenue in Hudson Yards, according to authorities and sources. 

Both children were conscious and alert and their parents refused medical attention on their behalf, cops said.

The young victims were not related – one is a New Yorker and the other from a tourist family, the sources said. 

The attacker, last seen wearing a blue “Champion” hoodie, fled the scene, sources said. Google Maps

The attacker, described as having a dark complexion, last seen wearing a black hoodie with the word “Champion” on it, black pants, and black sneakers, was last seen leaving the High Line, the sources said. 

He was still on the loose Wednesday evening.
