Nuggets sign 6-11 forward, 6-4 guard to bolster roster depth

The Denver Nuggets had a couple open roster spots to work with for training camp and the preseason.

They put those to good use with a pair of new signings.

Spotrac's Keith Smith reports that the Nuggets have signed Terrence Hargrove Jr. and Coleman Hawkins to Exhibit 10 contracts. Those deals make it likely that the pair will end up in the G League with Denver's affiliate in Grand Rapids.

Hargrove played for the Nuggets in Summer League, averaging 5.3 points per game.

He's a 6-foot-4 guard originally undrafted out of St. Louis in 2024.

Last season, Hargrove played a portion of the season in Denmark for Bakken. He averaged 15.7 points per game.

Hawkins is a 6-foot-11 forward who was undrafted out of Kansas State. He began his college career at Illinois.

The big fella played for the Golden State Warriors in Summer League.

In his final college season, Hawkins averaged 10.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.3 blocks per game, one of the most well-rounded stat lines you'll find from any big guy anywhere.

His versatile skillset gives him a chance to show well in the G League and potentially earn some NBA time in the years to come.

The Nuggets open the regular season on the third day of the NBA's game calendar. They'll play on the road on Thursday, Oct. 23 at the Golden State Warriors.
