Through the first 11 games of the 2025-26 NBA season, the Denver Nuggets have been one of the hottest teams in basketball with a 9-2 record.
Led by center Nikola Jokic, the Nuggets are on a six-game win streak and will end their road trip on Saturday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
However, Denver will be without Christian Braun for a significant amount of time after sustaining an injury on Nov. 12 in the team's win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Charania: Christian Braun to be re-evaluated in six weeks after suffering ankle sprain
Denver Nuggets guard Christian Braun was seen limping off to the bench after playing 16 minutes in the team's 130-116 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Nov. 12. The 24-year-old would never return to the game.
After further evaluation, senior NBA insider Shams Charania reported that Braun "will be re-evaluated in six weeks after sustaining a left ankle sprain."
Braun was averaging 11.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.0 assists while shooting 49.5 percent from the field before sustaining the injury. Expect players like Bruce Brown and Tim Hardaway Jr. to receive increased playing time during his absence.
If the young guard's recovery process goes well, expect him to be back in the Denver lineup sometime after Christmas.
