North Carolina vs. Charlotte box score: Full stats from exhibition game at the Dean Dome

North Carolina enters the 2026-27 season as one of the more fascinating teams in men's college basketball.

After a disappointing season last year, the Tar Heels made a coaching change, going from Hubert Davis to Michael Malone on the bench. Malone is a long-time NBA coach who won an NBA title with the Denver Nuggets, but has never been a coach in college basketball.

Therefore, all eyes will be on Malone's program as the coach tries to infuse some new life into the Tar Heels team. North Carolina is not ranked in the preseason AP rankings, but Tar Heel fans still have expectations to compete for a national title.

Malone's team will close out its preseason slate on Tuesday night, when Charlotte comes to the Dean Dome for an exhibition game. The Tar Heels hope this game can be a good final tune-up for the season.

Here's a look at the box score for North Carolina's preseason game against Charlotte.
