Wide receiver Garrett Wilson finally broke his silence regarding cornerback Sauce Gardner's trade. The two-time All-Pro was traded to the Indianapolis Colts for two first-round picks and WR Adonai Mitchell by the New York Jets. Apart from him, they also traded star DT Quinnen Williams to the Cowboys for Mazi Smith, one 2026 second rounder and a 2027 first rounder.
On Thursday, Garrett Wilson said that even though he "hated" the fact that his teammates were traded, he believes in the Jets' "vision" for the future.
"Like I said, I don't get paid to hav a vision, they (they Jets) do," Wilson said. "And, they got one. I got to trust it man, I do. My emotions, like that side of it, I hate it. I hate it, you know what I'm saying?•

Garrett Wilson was drafted by the Jets with the 10th overall pick during the 2022 NFL draft. In April, he signed a four-year $130 million extension with the team. The wide receiver played in six games this season, missing the previous two because of a knee injury.
However, Wilson stated that he will be playing against the Cleveland Browns in Week 10. So far in four seasons, he has tallied 3,644 yards and 18 TDs receiving for the Jets.

On Thursday, Garrett Wilson also shared his thoughts on Adonai Mitchell joining the WR depth chart. He had high praise for the former player and highlighted how he had been following him since his collegiate career.
"He's a dog, bro," Wilson said. "I've been watching bro since he was at Georgia. And obviously, these past couple of years at Texas I got to watch him play on the Colts last year. "You know, we got a lot of mutuals and I'm getting to know him. He's a great dude. Had a hell of a day at practice today and, yeah man, we all getting to know each other it's cool man. I'm excited to have some of these new guys in the room man.Mitchell was drafted by the Colts in the second round of the 2024 NFL draft. This season, he recorded 152 receiving yards for the team.
The Jets (1-7) vs Browns (2-6) showdown is scheduled to be played on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
