No Charbonnet, no problem for Seahawks with season-high prediction

The Seattle Seahawks will take on the Los Angeles Rams at Lumen Field with the winner punching its ticket to the Super Bowl.

Having been one of the better rushing teams in football all season, the Seahawks will be without Zach Charbonnet, who suffered an ACL injury in the win over the San Francisco 49ers.

As such, Kenneth Walker is expected to be the bell cow for offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, with relief coming from Cam Akers.

And for ESPN's Ben Solak, in his bold prediction, Walker handles the increased workload and posts a season-high rushing total against the Rams.

"Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III, given the lion's share of the carries with Zach Charbonnet (knee) out for the season, will set a season high in rushing yards yet again, clearing the 116 mark that he posted just last weekend against the 49ers," Solak writes.

Can Darnold lead Seahawks to Super Bowl?

With his dynamic one-two punch at running back now missing a key piece in Charbonnet, you could make the case that Sam Darnold is going to have to air it out more often.

With six interceptions in his two games against the Rams this season, Sean McVay's defense has gotten the better of Darnold at times.

But now comes Sam's crowning moment.

At home, against a division rival with a spot in the Super Bowl on the line, can he buck the narrative surrounding him in big games and lead Seattle to the NFL's penultimate game?

He might have to.
