Nike is selling dirty Air Force One sneakers — for $130

Strange way to get your kicks.

Nike watchers are shaking their heads over the brand’s latest headline-grabbing release — a pricey pair of sneakers that comes out of the box looking scuffed up and dirty.

For a whopping $130, fans can get their hands on the new dotSWOOSH x Nike Air Force 1 Low Dirty Triple Whites — which may arrive looking used, but reportedly get cleaner in time.

“The more you wear it, the cleaner and crispier it becomes. It’s that simple,” proclaimed an announcement on Dotswoosh, one of the company’s social media channels.

According to Nike, the “dirtiness” is merely a “scratch-away texture” that wears off — soon leaving the fashionable footwear looking brand new.

“Smoked white AF1s. You see them everywhere. Dirty, creased, scuffed — each pair is a living canvas for the person wearing them. White AF1s are a time portal. We love that about them,” the product description reads. “But what if we told that story backwards?”

“The AF1 Low ‘Dirty Triple White’ is a time machine. Buckle in. Enjoy the ride.”

The pre-soiled shoes feature a stained collar, torn eyelets and loose threads underneath the iconic Nike Swoosh. Alongside the classic AF1 laces, the shoes will come with laces that wear with light exposure, “creating a unique vintage look.”

And even the inside is designed to appear stained — featuring an illustration of a footprint is stamped on the digitally-printed sockliner, “celebrating grooves you put into your own shoes.”

Just in case you can’t wait — and for some reason don’t want to buy a pair of clean shoes in the same style — a brush is provided for those looking to scrub up right away.

Sales begin May 7 on Nike’s SNKRS app.

The soiled-looking sneaks will drop alongside the Triple Triple Black Air Force 1 Lows, said to reveal a deeper, richer black hue revealed the more you wear them.

People on social media were getting a kick out of the announcement, with one X user calling it a “real meme shoe.”

In an early preview, Complex said in an Instagram post that the shoe “looks like it’s been stomped out and worn for months.”

“Nike is crazy for this one,” the outlet wrote in the caption. “The sneaker looks filthy brand new out of the box.”

One person chimed in saying they “think [they] already have a pair…or ten?” of dirty AF1s.

“Benjamin Button beaters,” another person quipped on the Instagram announcement.

“I have these on [right now],” another joked.

“Plot twist, they’re just returns,” someone snarked.
