Step Inside NYC’s Pierre Hotel, Where Celebs Get Ready for Met Gala
Nicole Kidman's daughter Sunday Rose is already making history at Met Gala 2026.
Despite it being her first-ever Met Gala, the 17-year-old broke the fashion fundraiser's age limit rule—requiring its attendees to be 18 years old or older—when she joined her mom at New York City's Metropolitan of Art on May 4.
But an exception was likely made for Sunday, as Nicole was co-chairing the party alongside Beyoncé, Venus Williams and Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
And the Oscar winner was dressed to imnpress, leaning into the night's "Costume Art" theme dress code in a red sequined gown from Chanel featuring feathery sleeves. The Bewitched actress completed the dramatic look with long blonde tresses styled by Gucci Westman.
Of course, the 58-year-old’s look is only paled by the date by her side, with Sunday adhering to the "Fashion Is Art" dress code in a stunning blink floral dress with a matching statement earring. (See every star on the steps here.)
It was certainly a night to remember for Nicole, who shares Sunday, as well as daughter Faith Margaret, 15, with ex Keith Urban, as well as Bella Cruise, 33, and Connor Cruise, 31, with ex Tom Cruise. As emphasized on Las Culturistas in March, she was “so so happy” to not only be co-chairing for the third time, but also enjoy the evening with her teen.
“I just get to be there for Beyoncé,” she joked, admitting her daughter might get more benefit from the evening, adding, “She loves fashion.”
Of course, Nicole is a clear fashionista herself. In addition to her latest look, she’s always wowed on the Met steps. Last year, she wore a bold black Balenciaga gown, complete with gloves and blue crystal jewelry, a perfect homage to the “Tailored for You” dress code as part of the "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style"-theme bash.

But the true star of Nicole’s look? Her slicked back tight haircut, which her stylist Adir Abergel carefully crafted.
“The inspiration was a tailored short cut that brought out the essence of Dandyism on Nicole Kidman,” Adir explained in an Instagram post at the time. “I wanted to celebrate this years theme by honoring the Dandies and their individuality, elegance, and confidence—where every detail is tailored to that unique person.”
And beyond what she wore, Nicole couldn’t help but muse on the event’s theme itself for championing the essential designers who aren’t in the spotlight.
“It's lovely to celebrate fashion and couture and tailoring—and particularly tonight the tailoring—because there's all the people behind the scenes who do all that beautiful work,” she told Vogue at the time. “And when you really look at this theme, dandy is all about where you take a black suit and put a beautiful, different button or something where it's completely individual and made for you, which I love.”
