Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni addressed concerns over Jalen Hurts’ early exit during Sunday’s 31-0 win against the Las Vegas Raiders. The quarterback completed 12 of 15 passes for 175 yards and three scores before Tanner McKee took over.
The coach was asked if Hurts exited due to an injury. Sirianni clarified that he was pulled out due to the team's big lead.
"You guys are speculating there a little bit," Sirianni said on Tuesday, via Sports Radio 94 WIP. "He came in and threw a dime the very next play for a touchdown, and then he came out because of the lead that we had. So, we look through everything, and we're walking through today just because it's a short week. Looking forward to a really good practice."•

Philadelphia (9-5) snapped its three-game losing streak. It also recorded its first shutout since 2018 while controlling possession and outgaining the Raiders significantly. Las Vegas gained only 75 total yards and remained one of the league’s lowest-performing teams this season. Many Eagles starters, including Hurts, were rested late in the game.
Jalen Hurts’ resilience earns praise from Nick Sirianni and Jordan Mailata
Jalen Hurts bounced back from a difficult week with one of his most efficient performances of the season on Sunday. Eagles left tackle Jordan Mailata praised his approach and consistency after the game.
“Just consistency, man," Mailata said to reporters. "Didn’t matter what happened last week. Just attacked his work week the same way, win lose or draw. His consistency is very reassuring. It doesn’t matter what type of performance he has. "The guy has a routine. The guy has a consistent routine during the week, and guys can see it. The work doesn’t change. I expect the same this week.”Philadelphia coach Nick Sirianni echoed the confidence and broke down Hurts’ performance.
“He’s resilient," Sirianni said. "Always has been resilient and thought he was really good running the offense, being in command out there, just making good decisions with the football, good runs. He had a good game.”Hurts became the first quarterback in NFL history to record multiple games in the same season with a passer rating above 150 and a completion percentage over 80.
