The tvN drama Nice to Not Meet You recently has aired episodes 3 and 4 on November 10 and 11, 2025 and continues to release new episodes every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 pm KST. Episodes 5 and 6 are set to premiere on November 17 and 18. The series stars Lee Jung-jae, Lim Ji-yeon, Kim Ji-hoon, and Seo Ji-hye in the lead roles.

The story of Nice to Not Meet You follows Im Hyun-jun, a popular actor frustrated with being typecast, who seeks to challenge himself with more diverse roles. His path intersects with Wi Jung-sin, a seasoned journalist recently reassigned from political reporting to the entertainment beat. Their encounter leads a series of professional clashes, personal revelations, and unexpected connections.


What to expect in the upcoming episode of Nice to Not Meet You?

In the next episode of Nice to Not Meet You, Wi Jung-sin visits Im Hyun-jun at a sports arena for an interview, where she also meets also Joo Jae-hyung. Joo Jae-hyung suggests that Jung-sin and he get a meal after the interview. During the interview Jung-sin seems slightly annoyed with Hyun-jun. He is on the other hand visibly irritated as Jung-sin goes to have a meal with Joo Jae-hyung after the interview.

Later, ttheyare to meet again for another interview. Hyun-jun appears ecstatic and eager for the meeting. He finishes his work for the day and rushes for the interview. He is seen asking the driver how much away they are from the venue. After completing the interview, the two plan to meet somewhere more secluded, hinting at a private encounter that could deepen their connection.

Nice to Not Meet You episodes 3 & 4 recap: Hyun-joong and Jong-shin face medical emergencies, blind date shocks as family secrets unveil

Episode 3 of Nice to Not Meet You opens with Im Hyun-jun inviting Wi Jung-sin to a meeting where he presents her with a proposal. He asks her not to publish any negative articles about him in exchange for exclusive interviews and news about his upcoming dramas.

Jung-sin, who has been captivated by his portrayal of a righteous detective and has quietly developed a crush on the character, snaps out of her daze. She firmly rejects him, warning that if he continues to make such proposals, she will prove that what she has written so far is nothing compared to the negative press she could generate.

Later, Hyun-jun disappointed returns home to find his mother, Seong Ae-suk. She has once acted in erotic films and has been typecast as a sex symbol, preventing her from breaking into serious roles. When she finally lands her first serious role, she becomes pregnant with Hyun-joong.

Over the years, she has blamed him for her inability to escape the stereotype and admits to being jealous of his career. Hyun-jun remembers her getting taunted from men around them in his childhood. This has fueled Hyun-joong’s determination to break free from his own typecasting and pursue more versatile roles even more.

Meanwhile, Jung-sin’s younger brother is friends with Hyun-jun’s younger brother, and the two conspire to set up their older siblings, believing they would make a perfect match. Jung-sin and Hyun-jun are arranged for a blind date without knowing each other’s identity.

At the same time, Hyun-jun receives a drama offer that excites him. It is a role as a doctor. However Kwon Se-na, who previously has made him stop getting roles, is the other lead. Furious yet determined, Hyun-jun negotiates with her and decides to take the role. Later, exhausted from the negotiation and drinking, he accidentally overdoses on sleeping pills and is hospitalized. Coincidentally, Jung-sin suffers a burst appendix and is taken to emergency surgery in the same hospital.

Media speculation about Hyun-joong’s hospitalization explodes, with rumors of a suicide attempt. Jong-shin’s boss, Yun Hwa-yeong, sees an opportunity and instructs her to uncover the real story behind Hyun-joong’s hospitalization, promising to reinstate her to political journalism within three months.

Motivated, Jung-sin sneaks into Hyun-joong’s VIP room and overhears a conversation between him and his mother Seong Ae-suk. Later, she also witnesses Se-na visiting Hyun-jun. But soon she is caught. When confronted, Hyun-jun initially berates Jung-sin for sneaking and eavesdropping but Jung-sin persuade him to do an interview to clear up the swirling rumors and media speculation.

Later, exhausted from the chaos of the hospital and her investigations, Jung-sin retreats to the rooftop. There, she unexpectedly encounters Hyun-jun. Suddenly, Jung-sin’s post-surgery wound begins bleeding, and she collapses. The two are unaware that the hospital roof has been locked after hours. Seeing her unconscious, Hyun-jun smashes the glass of the doors and lifting her onto his back, rushes towards the emergency ward

Hyun-jun’s heroic actions inadvertently boost his public image. News outlets highlight his bravery in saving another patient, and his reputation soars. Soon after, both Hyun-jun and Jung-sin have recovered from their hospital experiences their blind date is arranged. As the two arrive, unaware of the surprises and revelations that await, episode 3 of Nice to Not Meet You concludes

Episode 4 of Nice to Not Meet You opens with the blind date. Hyun-jun and Jung-sin are shocked to see each other. Hyun-jun is initially mesmerized, unable to recognize Jung-sin in her elegant dress, completely different from her usual journalistic attire. Both quickly realize their brothers are friends and have set them up and decide to call off the date.

In the following days, both are unable to stop thinking about the blind date. Meanwhile, Seong Ae-suk receives a serious film offer, bringing her back into the media spotlight. Old controversies about her erotic film past resurface. As Jung-sin recognizes her as Hyun-jun's mother, her boss, Yun Hwa-yeong, instructs her to write an exclusive story on Seong Ae-suk, noting that there is no prior coverage about Hyun-joong’s personal life.

Jong-shin initially hesitates but Joo Jae-hyung, head of the sports department and part of the outlet-owning family, encourages Jung-sin to approach the story professionally. With his encouragement, she publishes the article, informing Hyun-jun’s agency beforehand.

The article comes out during a press conference that Hyun-jun attends and facing questions about his mother, becoming overwhelmed suffers a panic attack. Later, he confronts Jung-sin, initially demanding an apology for the article.

She firmly tells him to own the reality and reassures him that in 2025, he should not be ashamed of his mother’s career. During this confrontation, Hyun-joong’s long-standing misconception that Jong-shin works as a hostess is cleared. She reveals she has been working undercover as a journalist at the time, but she storms off, furious at his assumptions.

Despite the initial turmoil, the article proves positive for Seong Ae-suk. Still, Hyun-jun struggles to cope with the chaos of his personal and professional life and seeks guidance from a tarot reader. The reader advises him not to rush into new projects. Taking this seriously, Hyun-jun declines the drama opposite Se-na and instead commits to one more season of the detective series he has grown tired of.

Later, Jung-sin discovers through a hostess that Se-na is connected to the assemblyman case she has been investigating. Though Se-na does not appear in the video evidence Jung-sin possesses, she has been in the room. At the same time, Hyun-jun meets with the drama’s director and producer at a café. As he steps outside he encounters Se-na. She leans in and whispers something in his ear that shocks him and with this, the episode 4 of Nice to Not Meet You concludes.
