The Denver Broncos have lost two games in a row on walk-off field goals by their opponents and those losses have taken them from a top 10 team in the power rankings to one barely in the top 20.
The Broncos, considered by many to be a dark horse Super Bowl contender just before this season kicked off, are not living up to the hype... not even close. Instead, the team looked quite sloppy in Week 1 against the Tennessee Titans and blew a chance at victory against both the Indianapolis Colts and Los Angeles Chargers.
In Denver's defense, both the Colts and Chargers are undefeated thus far, but that shouldn't make anyone feel better about their 1-2 start, especially since both teams were beatable. In his latest power rankings release, Vinnie Iyer of The Sporting News dropped the Broncos all the way down to No. 19.
"The Broncos are working through some kinks with Bo Nix sophomore slumping, going up and down with his receivers. The defense has a lot of unexpected holes after dominating at times last season. Denver doesn't look like a team built to return to the playoffs at all", wrote Iyer.
The Broncos began the season at No. 11 and stayed in that spot after beating the Titans. But back-to-back defeats have dropped them eight spots while Broncos Country wonders if this season is about to get away from the team.

The Broncos have a chance to get healthy in Week 4 against a bad Cincinnati Bengals team and they need to take advantage of that and get back in the win column to get to 2-2.
