NFL picks, predictions Week 11: New England Patriots vs. Los Angeles Rams

2 hours ago 1

The New England Patriots haven't played their best football this season, but they're coming off of a 19-3 win over the Chicago Bears to move to 3-7 on the year.

Now, they'll have a chance to take down the Los Angeles Rams, who are coming off of a Monday night loss to the Miami Dolphins.

Neither team has looked overly impressive this year, but the Rams still have the talent to go out and dominate their opponents, especially considering they have the coaching advantage in just about every game they play.

Still, the Patriots are improving slightly each week, and if their defense plays like they did last week, they can compete against any team.

Before we get to game day, let's take a look at who some experts predict will win this interconference battle between New England and Los Angeles.

NFL picks, predictions Week 11: Patriots vs. Rams

Vinnie Iyer, Sporting News: Patriots 17, Rams 20

Iyer: "The Rams' defense has a superstar rookie in Jared Verse who can help put good pressure on fellow rookie Drake Maye. The Patriots' pass rush was anomalously great in Chicago, but Los Angeles likes to get the ball out quickly with Matthew Stafford. Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua can be a downfield matchup nightmare. The Patriots, however, can make it interesting late with some more fearless playmaking, running, and passing from Maye."

Bill Bender, Sporting News: Patriots 15, Rams 22

Bender: "The Rams are 1-3 S/U on the road this season, but the protection for Matthew Stafford has been better in the past four games. He took just one sack in three games ahead of the Monday Night Football matchup against Miami, and the defense is creating more turnovers. Patriots rookie Drake Maye has a 66.7% completion percentage in his past two starts, but he will be forced to take more chances here if the Rams get ahead early. "

Jeremy Cluff, Arizona Republic: Patriots 20, Rams 24

Cluff: "We're starting to believe in rookie QB Drake Maye. We just don't believe in him enough to take the Patriots over the Rams in this game."

Matt Johnson, Sportsnaut: Patriots 17, Rams 27

Johnson: "The New England Patriots’ Week 10 win over the Chicago Bears is an example of how bad coaching and an equally woeful offensive line can completely derail an offense against a bottom-5 defense. Needless to say, the Los Angeles Rams don’t have those problems whatsoever. Expect Los Angeles to make Kyren Williams a focal point in this game, chewing up the clock and easily dispatching the Patriots."
