With the Pittsburgh Steelers sitting at 7-2 and set for a battle for first place with the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, the last thing on the minds of head coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Omar Khan right now is the 2025 NFL Draft.
Currently, the Steelers sit in the No. 27 spot in the 2025 NFL Draft order entering Week 11, per Tankathon, with only the Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs having a lower selection.
Entering the season, we would've said that quarterback would be the top priority for the Steelers in 2025, but that is on the back burner for now thanks to the emergence of Russell Wilson, who has proven to be an upgrade.
Of course, that could change, but right now Wilson is on track to stick beyond the 2024 campaign. That would allow the Steelers to target another position of need with their first pick next year, like wide receiver, for example.
But that isn't the only position the experts in our round-up have the Steelers going after. Here's a look at four draft projections for Pittsburgh.
NFL Mock Draft 2025
Vinnie Iyer, Sporting News: WR Emeka Egbuka, Ohio State
Iyer: "The Steelers need to give George Pickens a true No. 2 option, and Egbuka is the classic Buckeyes prospect with great hands, smooth route-running, and big-play flair."
Josh Edwards, CBS Sports: WR Isaiah Bond, Texas
Edwards: "Mike Williams has already made an impact on Pittsburgh's roster, but he is also a free agent at season's end. Even if he returns, the Steelers could entertain a more reliable third outlet."
Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz, USA TODAY: WR Isaiah Bond, Texas
Middlehurst-Schwartz: "With Russell Wilson on a one-year deal and turning 36 later this month, it's difficult to suss out what this offense might need next season. Still, it never hurts to infuse an aerial attack with serious track speed, which Bond has flashed at times this year en route to averaging 16.7 yards per catch."
Luke Easterling, Athlon Sports: DL Shemar Stewart, Texas A&M
Easterling: "Cam Heyward is still one of the best interior defenders in the NFL, but he'll be 36 years old next season, so the Steelers need to find his replacement sooner than later. Stewart is a versatile defender with the size and skill set to line up anywhere on the defensive front, and Heyward would be the perfect tutor to help him fine-tune his technique and get the most out of his impressive physical traits."
