The Los Angeles Rams have acted with a lot of urgency this offseason, and for good reason. With Matthew Stafford's return in what might be the last season of his Hall of Fame career, the Rams need to make the most of this season.
To do so, the Rams went out and spent big on a pair of cornerbacks to improve the worst position on their roster last season. But now, they might be eyeing wide receiver help, with one name emerging as a possible trade target once again.
NFL insider Mike Garafolo, during an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, revealed that he would not be surprised if the Rams re-engaged the Philadelphia Eagles in trade talks to acquire All-Pro wide receiver AJ Brown.
NFL insider wouldn't be surprised if the Rams pursued AJ Brown in a trade again
"I wouldn't be surprised if the Rams re-emerged," Garafolo said. "Look, we don't know what's happening with Puka Nacua, with this offseason that he's had, you hope for the best for him. But that certainly, I think, might be a factor at play here, because you don't know... can you rely on him?" I would not be surprised if the Rams at some point re-engage and check in..."
The Rams might be re-entering the AJ Brown sweepstakes this offseason. But why would they with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams still on the roster?
Well, with both of those receivers set to hit the open market after 2026, adding Brown would give the Rams a likely, reasonably priced receiver for the next few seasons.
Even though he might be coming off a down season by his standards, he still put up 1,003 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 78 receptions in 15 games.

If the Rams do enter trade talks for Brown, they will have some stiff competition. The New England Patriots have been the team most often linked to Brown this offseason, as they're the clear front-runners in a deal for the All-Pro WR.
And similar to how the Rams might look to add Brown due to off-the-field uncertainty with Nacua, the Kansas City Chiefs might also emerge as trade suitors for Brown, with the Rashee Rice questions mounting this offseason.
The Rams were once the favorites for Brown earlier this offseason, but backed out and changed their plans a bit. But now, Garafolo's report indicates the Rams might be coming back into the Brown sweepstakes this offseason.
Fans will have to wait until at least June 1st to see any deal occur, but from now until Brown is dealt, Rams fans should keep their eyes peeled for any more Brown trade rumors, as it appears their favorite team might be back in the bidding.
