NFL Hall of Famer sends clear message to Aaron Rodgers haters

While many believe Aaron Rodgers is on the downside of his career as he prepares for his first campaign with the Pittsburgh Steelers, an NFL Hall of Famer has a different take and he doesn't care if you don't like it.

Former Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher was a guest on 670 The Score on Wednesday and said he believes Rodgers can lead the Steelers to an 11- or 12-win season in 2025.

"I'm an Aaron Rodgers fan, people can get made if they want to," Urlacher said. "I like the way he plays, I like what he stands for, I like what he says."

"As a football fan, I want to see what he can do with that team," he added. "They got a great defense, they got DK Metcalf, they got some guys on offense that can play, so if Aaron comes back two years after the Achilles injury the way we think he will, I think they'll have a good season."

"I would say 11 or 12 wins," Urlacher predicted as the Steelers' ceiling.

Urlacher makes an important point.

Rodgers struggled last season, but he was also in his first year back from a torn Achilles' tendon. The veteran saw better play as the year progressed, though, so there's definitely a reason for optimism that Rodgers can be better in 2025.

On the flip side, Father Time is undefeated and Rodgers is certainly in the danger zone at 41 years old (42 in December).

If Rodgers can lead the Steelers to an 11- or 12-win season, it would be the most victories for Pittsburgh since 2020, when the team won 12 contests.
