New York Comic Con announces 2025 lineup: James McAvoy, George R.R. Martin, more

5 hours ago 1

There won’t just be exquisitely dressed cosplayers at the 2025 New York Comic Con.

The annual four-day extravaganza just announced this year’s lineup of entertainers, comic creators, authors and voice actors that will descend upon the Javits Center from Oct. 9-12.

Notable “entertainers” on the bill include “X-Men” star James McAvoy, “Superman” cast member Nicholas Hoult, Elliot Page of “The Umbrella Academy,” beloved character actor Martin Sheen and “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings'” very own Simu Liu.

“Game of Thrones” scribe George R.R. Martin, DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee, “Great British Bake Off” winner Kim-Joy, “Amazing Spider-Man” comic book cover artist J. Scott Campbell and “Batman” comic book writer James Tynion IV topline the “comic creators and authors” contingent.

“Critical Role” Dungeon Master Matthew Mercer, “Dragonball Z’s” Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham of “Full Metal Alchemist,” Sam Riegel aka Donatello of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “Naruto’s” own Liam O’Brien are just a few of the many voice actors rounding out the expansive lineup.

That’s not to mention Simon Pegg, Wayne Brady, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts.

Or R.L. Stine, Darryl “D.M.C. McDaniels,” Clark Gregg, Mae Whitman along with George Takei.

In total, 100 icons (!) are booked for this year’s NYCC.

And there’s more to be announced at a later date as evidenced by the Con’s Instagram post where they shared they’re “just getting started.”

Plus, we didn’t even count all the excellent attendees in costume.

If you’d like to attend, single and multi-day New York Comic Con passes are available.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on four-day passes was $437 including fees on Vivid Seats.

Single-day passes are going from anywhere between $129 to $198 including fees.
