This week’s new shows and movies arriving on streaming are pretty big deals. One of the biggest shows on streaming this year, Dutton Ranch, wraps up its impressive first season on Paramount+ this Friday, while two other great shows make their debuts that day. Catch the season 3 premiere of Silo on Apple TV or binge the entire season of Human Vapor on Netflix over the weekend. Prime Video also just announced the arrival of Project Hail Mary to the platform this Friday, too. Oh, and if you want to see some fireworks, there will be Fourth of July specials streaming on Peacock, Hulu, Disney+ and Paramount throughout the weekend; a full schedule is below.

New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: Human Vapor, Silo, Dutton Ranch + More
This week marks the arrival of several prestige series. If it’s stunning VFX you’re after, check out Human Vapor on Netflix, a series about a killer who evades capture by vanishing into thin air, literally. On Apple TV, a third season of Silo premieres Friday and this one promises to take us back to the very beginning to see how the show’s dystopian society was formed. And on Paramount+, be sure to watch the season finale of Dutton Ranch. Everything, especially the drama, is bigger in Texas.
New on Netflix July 2: Human Vapor
Human Vapor is a new science fiction series that’s a collaboration between Japan’s Toho Studio and executive producer and writer Yeon Sang-ho, whose past work includes Train to Busan, Hellbound, and Parasyte: The Grey. The series is a modern take on the influential 1960 film The Human Vapor about a killer who can transform his body into gas and slip through any barrier, eluding authorities as he carries out his killings. Expect incredible visual effects unlike anything you’ve seen before.
New on Prime Video July 3: Project Hail Mary
Produced and directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, Project Hail Mary stars Ryan Gosling as Ryland Grace, a middle school science teacher who has been sent on a mission to save planet Earth from a cataclysmic extinction event when it turns out the Sun is dimming. While in space, Grace meets an alien named Rocky who is on a similar mission to save his own planet and as the two collaborate to prevent the existential collapse of their home worlds, they become unlikely pals. The film arrived on digital platforms and MGM+ earlier this spring, but now it’s also streaming on Prime Video.
New on Apple TV July 3: Silo (Season 3)
Apple TV’s great science fiction series Silo returns for season 3 this week, and the story takes on a time-hopping twist. While the show will still focus on the small population of people forced to live in an underground silo for their survival, this season will also depict the origins of the silo in a parallel story set centuries earlier. Rebecca Ferguson, Common and Harriet Walter return to the cast, and this season features a few new faces including Colin Hanks, Jessica Henwick and Ashley Zukerman.
New on Paramount+ July 3: Dutton Ranch: Season 1 Finale
The first season of Taylor Sheridan’s Dutton Ranch comes to an end this Friday. The series, about Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler’s (Cole Hauser) relocation from Montana to Texas, earned Paramount+ its highest ratings ever for a series premiere, and now the drama comes to an end… for now. The show has already been renewed for season two.
