This week’s new movies on VOD include Passenger, about a supernatural killer who torments a young couple as they road-trip, and the teenage romantic drama Girls Like Girls.
Also arriving on digital platforms this week is The Furious, a martial arts action extravaganza out of Hong Kong. The film is about a handyman (Xie Miao) with a mysterious past who is on a mission to find his kidnapped daughter who has been taken by traffickers. Never underestimate a desperate dad with a particular sets of skills.

Passenger
In the Paramount Pictures film Passenger, Jacob Scipio and Lou Llobell play Tyler and Maddie, a young couple who are recently engaged and trying out a nomadic life living in their van. Shortly into their road adventures, they witness the mysterious death of a man who appears to have been killed by an unseen force – the Passenger – inside his car and they learn that this supernatural killer preys on travelers just like them. Melissa Leo co-stars in the film which just arrived to digital platforms this week.
Girls Like Girls
Actress and singer Hayley Kiyoko makes her directorial debut with Girls Like Girls, a queer coming-of-age story about friends Coley (Maya da Costa) and Sonya (Myra Molloy). The film, set in 2006, is based on Kiyoko’s 2023 book of the same name and explores the relationship between the two teenagers as they realize their feelings for each other are more than just platonic. The film co-stars Levon Hawke and Zach Braff.
