New Movies on Streaming: ‘Megalopolis,’ ‘Goodrich,’ + More

2 hours ago 1

It feels like there are more movies than usual arriving this week on demand. Among the biggest titles are Francis Ford Coppola’s love-it-or-hate-it Megalopolis, and Michael Keaton in the Hallie Meyers-Shyer film Goodrich. You can also catch Melissa Barrera in the monster rom-com Your Monster, where she stars stars as Laura, a woman whose life is in shambles until she discovers a monster living in her closet who becomes a confidante and life coach.

This week also marks the arrival of Saturday Night, the Jason Reitman dramedy-biopic (if a TV show can be the subject of a biopic) about the early years of Saturday Night Live. The film co-stars Rachel Sennott, Lamorne Morris, and Gabriel LaBelle, and dozens of other actors portraying some of the iconic writers and comedians who were a part of the show when it began.

These are just a few of the films that are available to watch on Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, YouTube, and through your cable service this week. Check out what movies are available to buy or rent on demand now.

Megalopolis

Francis Ford Coppola’s decades-in-the-making Megalopolis has finally arrived on demand so you can see the polarizing epic for yourself in the comfort of your own home. Adam Driver, Aubrey Plaza, Giancarlo Esposito, and Jason Schwartzman are just a few notable names in the all-star cast of the film our reviewer lauded for its audacity while also calling it “a pretentious, incomprehensible slop job that’s contrived to be divisive.”

Goodrich

Michael Keaton leads the cast of Goodrich, in which he plays an art dealer named Andy Goodrich whose life is shaken up when his wife Naomi (Laura Benanti) tells him she has entered a drug rehab facility and is leaving him to care for their kids. Previously inattentive and out of touch with the needs of his family, Andy is forced to balance his family and work life, while coming to terms with his shortcomings as a father.
