A new billboard plastered in central Tehran shows the skeleton of an American soldier on the rocky shore of the Strait of Hormuz — the latest visual in Iran’s continuous propaganda campaign
The bloodthirsty Islamic Republic has intensified its anti-US messaging in recent weeks, as it ramps up its propaganda war with violent state-sponsored billboards plastered across Iran’s capital.
The image, erected earlier this month, shows a skeleton wearing a combat vest with a US flag stitched on the arm, lying next to the waterway — at the center of the ongoing conflict — that separates the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.
A large Iranian-flagged vessel is shown sailing through the critical passage that once carried 20% of the world’s oil and has been choked off by the regime since the war began Feb. 28, with 18 US service members killed in the conflict so far.
Another billboard erected this month shows a toppled Statue of Liberty as a crowd of Iranians wave Islamic Republic and Shiite Muslim flags in celebration.
The massive billboard towers over Tehran’s Revolution Square, while Iranians can be seen in photographs going about their daily lives.
It’s also the same location where a giant poster showed President Trump lying inside a black coffin, his hands over his belly, with Persian text displayed over the casket reading: “We Kill Trump.”
Another billboard featured Trump being strangled by several pairs of hands, with the message “Revenge is inevitable,” written in English.
The bloodthirsty regime has vowed revenge for the killing of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in his Tehran compound by joint US and Israeli strikes on the first day of the war.
The fragile monthlong cease-fire between the US and Iran appears set to expire Monday, with no deal in sight to extend it — let alone end the war between the two nations.
Earlier this week, an adviser to the Iranian Parliament speaker suggested the regime’s strategy was to wait out Trump’s presidency until 2029 to negotiate.
“Trump will not reach an agreement with us,” said Majid Shakeri, advisor to Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.
“We are getting along with him until his term ends.”
