Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said any regime change in Iran must ultimately come from within — and warned against simply swapping one hardline ruler for another.

“You don’t want to replace one Ayatollah with another. You don’t want to replace Hitler with Himmler,” Netanyahu said, referring to Nazi SS Chief Heinrich Himmler.

He said the US and Israel can help “create the conditions” for change — including through military pressure — but stressed that revolutions can’t be imposed from the air alone.
