A thrilling 2025 NCAA baseball tournament advances to the super regional round, with 16 teams vying for eight coveted spots in the College World Series.
Action at the super regionals is divided into eight best-of-three series, with play beginning on either Friday, June 6 or Saturday, June 7.
The top two national seeds — No. 1 Vanderbilt and No. 2 Texas — suffered stunning defeats in the regional round. That's sent a couple of Cinderella stories storming into the super regionals, headlined by UTSA, with shocked the Longhorns on consecutive days last weekend.
There are still several goliaths left standing, headlined by forces out of the SEC: No. 3 Arkansas, 4 Auburn, No. 6 LSU, and No. 14 Tennessee. The Razorbacks and Volunteers will clash in an all-SEC super regional in Fayetteville, among the more-anticipated matchups.
Don't sleep on No. 5 North Carolina, either: The Tar Heels entered the tournament as the top-ranked team in the latest top-25 poll from D1Baseball.com.
