NBA world reacts to Tyrese Haliburton’s gutting Achilles injury in NBA Finals Game 7: ‘F–k!’

The NBA world was quick to react to Tyrese Haliburton’s injury.

The Pacers star crumbled to the court with a right lower leg injury during the first quarter of the team’s Game 7 clash against the Thunder in the NBA Finals Sunday night in Oklahoma City.

Haliburton’s father, John, was emotional and could be seen in the stands holding his head in his hands.

Haliburton had been dealing with a calf strain in his right leg, and the immediate fear after the non-contact injury was he suffered a torn Achilles.

ESPN reported on the broadcast that John Haliburton confirmed it was an Achilles injury.

“F–k!!!!!!!!” LeBron James posted on X, along with a prayer emoji.

“Prayers up man,” Jalen Brunson posted.

“Ty,” Josh Hart wrote on X, along with three prayer emojis.

“These calf strains ain’t no joke man!!” Donovan Mitchell wrote. “Praying for Ty.”

“You never want to see that,” Karl-Anthony Towns posted. “Prayers up.”

Even Chief quarterback Patrick Mahomes joined the discourse, writing “prayers up man.”

Haliburton had received a pass and begun dribbling toward the basket when he quickly went down and began screaming in pain and slapping his hand on the court.

He was helped off the court by Pacers staff and was quickly ruled out for the rest of the game.

The Pacers still led 48-47 at halftime.
