Domantas Sabonis hasn't had much success with the Sacramento Kings. The only winning season he had with the franchise was during the 2022-23 NBA season. That year, Sabonis and the Kings broke the 16-year playoff drought. This time, however, it looks like the drought is back in Sacramento.
The Kings are 3-9 this season, despite having three All-Stars in Sabonis, DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine. With the lack of success, there have been talks about a potential rebuild. This means the star trio could all get traded at some point.
The Athletic's Sam Amick reported that there are teams interested in trading for the $217 million star. Other organizations are interested in Sabonis in case the Kings decide to split the team.

The Lithuanian big man is playing his fifth year in Sacramento. He's appeared in nine games this season, averaging 15.3 points, 12.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists. One of the key players during Mike Brown's tenure as head coach of the Kings was Domantas Sabonis.
Under Brown's system, Sabonis earned his third All-Star selection and finished seventh in MVP voting. He was also named part of the All-NBA Third Team in 2023. The frontcourt star has had some of the best years of his career in Sacramento.
He's averaged 19.1 ppg, 10.5 rpg and 4.2 apg through the five years he's been with the Sacramento Kings.
3 potential landing spots for Sacramento Kings' Domantas Sabonis
Domantas Sabonis can offer a lot on the floor for different teams. With rumors about a potential rebuild for the Sacramento Kings, here are three teams that could trade for the star center.
#3 Utah Jazz
The Utah Jazz aren't planning on keeping Walker Kessler. They made that clear when they did not offer him a contract extension. This means the team could be looking to trade him soon.
A potential pairing of Sabonis and All-Star forward Lauri Markkanen could spark a new era in Utah. The European frontcourt stars could be the Jazz's future.
#2 LA Lakers
The LA Lakers already have a starting center in Deandre Ayton. But the team can always explore ways to improve its roster. Adding Sabonis could be a way to boost their star power, especially offensively.
His ability to be a playmaking big man could be a threat. Additionally, it will enable Austin Reaves and Luka Doncic to play without having to keep the ball for extended periods of time.
#1 Golden State Warriors
This is the Golden State Warriors' chance to trade Jonathan Kuminga to the Sacramento Kings. During the offseason, it was reported that Sacramento was interested in acquiring Kuminga.
By trading for Domantas Sabonis, the Warriors could move on from the young forward. It will also give the team another frontcourt facilitator. However, it will be intriguing to watch him play alongside Draymond Green.
