Jaylon Tyson went viral on Thursday after the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the visiting Los Angeles Lakers. That meant hometown hero LeBron James also made his return to so much fanfare.
Unfortunately, Tyson's show of support for his teammate did not go well for James' fans. He does make a good point that Mitchell is now Cleveland's superstar, but it appears that a lot of people did not interpret it the way Tyson intended.
Rich Paul's defense of Jaylon Tyson
Considering he is LeBron James' representation, Rich Paul is a trustworthy voice when it comes to anything related to him. It seems Paul is fine with what Tyson said, which should be another James co-sign as well.
Tyson did not mean anything malicious about it, as he just wanted people to know more about Mitchell's place in Cleveland basketball.

James has not played for the Cavaliers since 2018, which is a long time ago. Since people still see him as a player connected to the franchise, it is fair to feel that way.
However, berating Tyson for supporting his teammate is not a good look for anyone.
"His intent was, I’m just coming off a battle, we won, I played well, this is the premier guy on this team, he’s my teammate," Paul said on his Game Over podcast with Max Kellerman.
"In society today, and how they judge everything people do, if he says the opposite, people will say he’s riding the jock of somebody who’s not on his team."
Tyson should not be turning off the comments on his Instagram because he knows he would have experienced the barrage of hateful comments.
With these comments, Paul has played a role in preventing some of that from happening. Tyson is a player on the rise, so he needs encouragement and not hatred.
