The NBA Playoffs resume on two fronts Wednesday night, with the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers, both at home, both in Game 5, and both on the brink of elimination.
Golden State will try to end their series in H-Town, while the Timberwolves seek to wrap up things in Hollywood.
We’ve taken that into consideration as we share our favorite NBA player props. Check out our free picks below.

Jimmy Butler Over 18.5 points vs Rockets (-120 at Bet365)
At first glance, this doesn’t feel right. Did Jimmy Butler get hurt in Game 4, when he led the Warriors with 27 points, adding five rebounds and six assists in Golden State’s 109-106 win over Houston?
Butler does appear on the injury list, but he’s been listed as probable, as he’s still dealing with the effects of a pelvic injury that he suffered in Game 2.
Assuming he plays, though, Butler has been lights out. Save for Game 2 when he got injured, Butler has scored at least 24 points in six straight games.
This 18.5 scoring line is generous. Jump on it now.
LeBron James double-double vs Timberwolves (-165 at Bet365)
This Lakers season is threatening to go out with a whimper if they can’t rally against the Timberwolves in Game 5.
One thing you can most likely count on, though: win or lose, Lebron James will show up.
In 28 postseason elimination games, LBJ has averaged 33.5 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 7.5 assists.
James has gone double-double in points and rebounds in each of the last three games against the T-Wolves, as he’s basically LA’s de facto big man, battling with that beefy Minnesota frontcourt.
He should be prominent again, trying to keep the Lakers’ season alive.
Amen Thompson Under 14.5 points vs Warriors (-140 at Bet365)
Amen Thompson finally found his offense in Game 4 against the Warriors, scoring 17 points on 7-for-12 shooting.
Prior to that, Thompson had scored 30 points total across the previous three games, topping out at 11 points.
The Rockets forward has struggled to get buckets in his young career against Golden State.
In 11 career games (regular season and playoffs), Thompson has gone over his 14.5 scoring line just twice.
We’ll stay on trend in Game 5.
