NBA Insider reports Charlotte Hornets have one untouchable player and it's not LaMelo Ball

Wednesday morning, NBA insider Sam Amico reported some shocking news about the Hornets' front office.

Amico got word that an opposing executive has inferred based on the Hornets' activity that only one player is untouchable on their roster.

Shocking to some, that player is not LaMelo Ball.

What Hornet is the only untouchable player?

Amico had been told that it is believed that guard Brandon Miller is the only player not available in trades for Charlotte.

This does make sense, as Miller has been great in his first two seasons and is set to return after missing most of the 24-25 NBA season with a wrist injury.

Here are Miller's averages in his first two NBA seasons:

23-247417.34.32.40.90.6
24-252721.04.93.61.10.7

All of Miller's averages went up this season in his brief 24-25 campaign, but he should continue to get better and could be an all-star in a couple of seasons.

With LaMelo Ball's injury history, it makes sense to not have him as untouchable just in case intriguing offers come into the front office.

Amico doesn't think Ball will be moved, but not having him as untouchable shows that they would at least entertain an offer for the former all-star.
