Michael Jordan is widely considered to be the greatest basketball player of all-time. While he has not publicly commented on the game in quite some time, that will change next season.
The six-time NBA champion is set to join the NBA on NBC as a special contributor. Stephen A. Smith recently appeared on the "PBD Podcast", where he claimed that Jordan will be brutally honest in his analysis of the modern game.
"Let me tell you something about Michael Jordan," ESPN's Stephen A. Smith claimed. "He's going to be brutally honest. Oh, I can assure you that. He's not going to be somebody that's going to be passive about -- not the Michael Jordan I know. The Michael Jordan I know, when talking basketball, he is as candid as it gets. He ain't trying to hurt nobody's feelings. He ain't trying to be insulting, but he's going to tell you what's going on.

"He's talking about the game of basketball," Smith added. "I don't think he's going to be passive at all. I really, really don't. And I'm actually proud of him for doing it because with the Jordan Brand and him being worth over $2 billion, he don't need this."
Smith claimed that while Jordan does not make many public comments on basketball, he constantly calls him to privately discuss the game. He noted that the late, great Kobe Bryant was more passionate in his calls, but that the long-time Chicago Bulls legend is candid in his remarks.
The "First Take" host added that the five-time MVP won't be shy in his commentary. He noted that he plans to hold Jordan accountable if the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer is shy.
