Under two weeks ago, the New York Knicks were crowned NBA champions. The NBA offseason is officially in full swing, and now all eyes are on the incoming rookie class.

The 2026 NBA Draft is set to kick off tonight from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., and 60 new rookies will begin their journeys in the professional basketball world. Just after the clock strikes 8 p.m. ET, the Washington Wizards will be on the clock. Whether the D.C. organization chooses AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson, or Cameron Boozer will impact the Utah Jazz and Memphis Grizzlies' approaches to round out the top three.

Once those initial three teams pick, the field will open up, and picks may begin being shipped off in trade packages. One of the biggest trades around the draft involved former Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo. According to Shams Charania, Antetokounmpo was shipped off before the draft kicked off in Brooklyn to the Miami Heat in exchange for Tyler Herro and a plethora of both players and draft picks, including No. 13 overall in this year's draft.

Whether a rebuilding team drafts its future star or a championship contender builds upon its roster with more depth, each draft pick is vital for a franchise to succeed in the future. Even second-round picks have shown their worth in recent years. The Knicks drafted Mitchell Robinson with the No. 36 overall pick in the second round, and the big man gathered a crucial offensive rebound in Game 5 of the NBA Finals to clinch the Larry O'Brien Trophy.

With that, the Sporting News is tracking all the picks and key trades from the 2026 NBA Draft.
