NASCAR insider picks JR Motorsports’ driver as favorite to win 2025 Xfinity Series Championship Race at Phoenix

The 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series season next heads to the Phoenix Raceway for the season’s final race, the Championship Race. Ahead of the title-deciding race, NASCAR insider Bob Pockrass shared his prediction, picking his favorite to win and top-five finishes at the 2025 Xfinity Series Championship Race.

Pockrass picked JR Motorsports driver Connor Zilisch to take the checkered flag at Phoenix and the 2025 Xfinity championship on Saturday, November 1. Zilisch has made his full-time Xfinity debut with Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s co-owned team and left his mark in his first rookie season.

Pockrass’ remaining top five predictions are Aric Almirola, the defending Xfinity Series champion Justin Allgaier, and championship drivers Jesse Love and Carson Kvapil.

Connor Zilisch has put on an impressive show in his rookie season, earning a solid 10 wins, eight poles, 19 top-five, and 22 top-10 finishes, leading 986 laps with an average finish of 8.1 in 31 races. During the season’s first trip at Phoenix, the 19-year-old NASCAR rising star started on pole and finished 16th.

NASCAR Xfinity Series drivers and teams will be in action at Phoenix Raceway on Saturday (November 1) at 7:30 p.m. ET. Fans can witness the 200-lap Xfinity Series Championship Race on CW and MRN.
