Inoue (32-0) is one of the top fighters in the world. An undisputed champion in two weight classes, "The Monster" has 27 wins via knockout. He won four fights in 2025, beating top challenger Murodjon Akhmadaliev and David Picasso with ease.
A three-weight world champion, Nakatani (32-0) vacated his WBC, IBF, and Ring bantamweight titles to step up and face Inoue. He beat Sebastian Hernandez in December to win his first super bantamweight fight.
For years, the world has been craving this matchup. Now, two of Japan’s greatest champions will compete at the Tokyo Dome to determine who the best in the world is. Nakatani’s team believes the wait will be worth it.
"He’s ready. I’m looking for Junto to react to everything that Inoue does in the ring," trainer Rudy Hernandez said via BoxingScene. "Timing is everything. I believe Inoue to be the greatest fighter in the world nowadays, and we have our hands full. There’s a reason why he’s the favorite and why he’s the No. 1 fighter in the world, in my book."
