Selling 1,122 tickets, the North American Hockey League (NAHL)'s Houston Bulls have officially sold out of season tickets ahead of their inaugural 2026-27 season.

The NAHL announced back in March that the North Iowa Bulls would be relocated to Houston to compete as the Houston Bulls. Former National Hockey League player Nathan Oystrick — who played with the St. Louis Blues (2010-11) and appeared in the League from 2008-11 — was announced as the team's Head Coach. AJ Ruskowski will serve as both the Assistant and Goaltending Coach. The team's jerseys were also recently unveiled.

Tyler Shaffar is the President of F&S Management Company — the management group of ownership overseeing the Houston Bulls.

In an exclusive, Shaffar said he extends his thanks to the Houston hockey community and thinks this could be a good indicator to the NHL regarding expansion consideration to the major Texas city.

“We want to sincerely thank the Greater Houston community, the entire team at Deep South Ice and Sports Complex, our corporate partners and all of our fans for the incredible support that helped us reach this milestone," Shaffar said. "The response to the Houston Bulls has exceeded our expectations, and we can’t wait to take the ice and begin this journey together. This is definitely another sign that Houston is ready for a NHL team too!”

Per the Bulls' schedule release, Houston's season will start with an away matchup at the Shreveport Mudbugs on both Sept. 11 and Sept. 12. The Bulls' home opener to take place at the Deep South Ice Sports Plex in Richmond, Texas on Oct. 2 against the Lone Star Brahmas.

Season ticket sales interest reached over 4,000, and single game tickets will go live on Aug. 23. Group ticket interest is also now being accepted for future games via the Bulls' website.

The previously mentioned home venue of the Deep South Ice & Sports Plex is currently being constructed on schedule and coming along nicely, with the site to be completed with 14 suites, 1,800 seats and a second NHL size practice ice sheet.

Houston's jerseys are maroon, cream and white and include patchwork on the arm sleeve complete with the Texas nods. Details include the Lone Star State and a small Bull (the team's mascot) being stamped where Houston is located on the state map.
