On Friday, a photo shared on X showed Adam Fantilli and the Columbus Blue Jackets celebrating Halloween together. Fans quickly noticed Fantilli dressed as U.S. President Donald Trump, standing near the back of the group.

The post read,

"Apparently Adam Fantilli of the Columbus Blue Jackets dressed up like Donald Trump for a Halloween party (way in the back there) and… people are taking it about as well as you might expect."

The team’s official Instagram also shared Halloween photos, but Fantilli was not included. The atmosphere looked cheerful, with players showing creativity and team spirit.

In one photo, Dante Fabbro and his partner Scottie Spiegelman dressed as the Lorax, wearing bright orange suits and yellow mustaches. Damon Severson and Sean Monahan joined a Scooby-Doo group, with Severson as Fred and Monahan as Shaggy.

Forward Cole Sillinger and Denton Mateychuk matched as a fun retro duo in red and black costumes. Erik Gudbranson and his wife, Sarah, wore astronaut outfits with matching helmets and accessories. Zach Werenski and his wife Odette dressed as chefs, adding humor and charm to their look.

Fantilli, from Nobleton, Ontario, was drafted third overall by the Blue Jackets in 2023. He had a breakout 2024-2025 season, scoring 31 goals and 54 points. This season, he has two goals and three assists in ten games. Fantilli is Canadian with Italian heritage, and his Halloween costume has upset some fans off the ice.

Speaking about the game, Sillinger praised the team's start.

Minutes later, Jackets' Dante Fabbro added another goal, increasing the lead to 5-1. In the early third period, Mathieu Olivier scored for a 6-1 lead. John Tavares scored his 500th NHL goal at 15:45, and Nicholas Robertson made it 6-3 at 18:10, but they couldn't finish their comeback attempt.
