The Indiana Pacers will be shorthanded tonight as they face the best team in the Eastern Conference, the Detroit Pistons. The Pacers have a record of 10-32 while being last in their conference and having the second-worst record in the league behind the New Orleans Pelicans. Now, it appears that their record will worsen with their roster already being depleted.
Players on the injury list
Pacers’ star Pascal Siakam, who has been the consistent cornerstone for this franchise in the absence of Tyrese Haliburton, is out for rest purposes. This is only the second absence he’s made all season. He is expected to play against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Aaron Nesmith will be out for rest purposes as well. He played the first leg of a back-to-back yesterday against the Pelicans, so the team made a business decision for both players to conserve their strength.

Andrew Nembhard is also out with a lower-back injury, with him being questionable to play on Monday. T.J. McConnell won’t play due to left knee and elbow management. With both guards out, Quenton Jackson, Kam Jones, and Ethan Thompson are expected to receive more playing time.
Isaiah Jackson is listed as questionable after undergoing concussion protocol since December 22nd. If he does return, Jay Huff’s usage could take a hit, while Tony Bradley’s minutes could limit his playing time as the Pacers’ backup center. Look to hear more information closer to game time at 7:30.
