Most NFL playoff wins by coach: Where Andy Reid ranks among Bill Belichick, more all-time greats

7 hours ago 1

Andy Reid already has cemented his status as one of the greatest head coaches in NFL history. With three rings to his name, he's up there with Don Shula, Bill Belichick and the other legends to roam an NFL sideline.

Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes may be the face of the current Chiefs dynasty, but Reid is the brains behind the operation. Kansas City has won three Super Bowls in a span of five years and are gunning for a three-peat in 2025.

In addition to his time with the Eagles, "Big Red" has coached in five total Super Bowls, as well as 11 conference championships. As one would imagine, with as many championship appearances as Reid has, that also means he is racking up wins in the postseason.

Where does he rank on the all-time postseason wins list? Here's a closer look at where Reid stands among the NFL's winningest coaches in the playoffs.

Most playoff wins by an NFL coach

Reid is closing in on Belichick for the lead in all-time playoff wins. The former Patriots boss is the only coach in history with at least 30 victories in the postseason, racking up 31.

However, Reid sits in second, just six wins away from surpassing Belichick. The Chiefs head coach is one of three coaches with at least 20 postseason wins, joining Belichick and the great Tom Landry.

Most wins by an NFL coach

When looking at the all-time wins list, Reid currently is in the top-five. He sits at No. 4, still trailing Don Shula, George Halas and Belichick for the most victories by an NFL head coach.

Considering he is still 29 wins away from Belichick, at the very minimum, Reid would have to coach two more seasons to move into third.
