Boston Bruins forward Morgan Geekie hit back at a fan on social media who was bashing the team’s bench-clearing celebration of David Pastrnak’s 400th NHL career goal.

During the Boston Bruins’ 5-3 home win over the Toronto Maple Leafs, David Pastrnak scored his 400th career NHL goal just 49 seconds into the second period on a breakaway set up by a Charlie McAvoy stretch pass.

The entire Bruins bench emptied to mob and celebrate Pastrnak on the ice.

An X user named Kevin Maggiore criticized the celebration, calling it a “dumb move."

"I’ll be the dweeb….Entire team coming out for a 400th goal is kinda dumb," he wrote.

However, Geekie didn’t hold back and clapped back with a reply:

"Stick to your day job Kevin."

The Bruins have now won seven games in a row, climbing to the second position in the Atlantic Division with an 11-7-0 record.

David Pastrnak makes his thoughts known about scoring his 400th career goal

David Pastrnak shared his thoughts after scoring his 400th career goal, becoming the sixth player in Bruins franchise history to reach the 400-goal mark.

“It really hit me when the guys came over,” Pastrnak said post-game via NHL.com. “It was so cool what they did for me, and to top it off with a win is great.”

He added:

“They are legends, big names, great goal-scorers, great players, great human beings for the city, and it’s something that will sink in a little bit later, maybe when I retire. “Now, when you are in the game you focus and flip the page on to the next.

With his 400th goal, David Pastrnak increased his season tally to 22 points (10 goals and 12 assists). Meanwhile, the Bruins' next match is against the Ottawa Senators on Thursday.

The puck at Canadian Tire Centre drops at 7 p.m. ET.
