Monique Billings delivered one of the most colorful WNBA pregame looks of the weekend. The Indiana Fever forward arrived at Gainbridge Fieldhouse before Sunday’s game against the Washington Mystics wearing a coordinated blue-and-red plaid ensemble featuring a sleeveless cropped vest and matching skirt.
Billings added a silver chain belt, rose-tinted glasses, several bracelets and white knee-high boots to complete the vibrant look.
Athlete Vanity shared a photo of Billings’ pregame outfit on X.
Billings appeared to enjoy every second of the arrival. She smiled as she walked through the arena with her arms extended, bringing the same unmistakable energy to the tunnel that she routinely gives the Fever on the court.
It was confident, colorful and full of personality.

The matching plaid pieces provided the foundation of her outfit, but the accessories turned it into one of the day’s most noticeable looks. The chain belt added another layer to the coordinated set, while the tinted glasses and white boots prevented the ensemble from feeling too traditional.
Even the way Billings entered the arena helped sell the outfit. Rather than stopping for a formal pose, the veteran forward looked as though she were dancing her way through the tunnel.
That joy has become an important part of what Billings provides Indiana.
The 6-foot-4 forward joined the Fever in free agency in April after spending the 2025 season with the Golden State Valkyries. She signed a multiyear contract with Indiana and brought another experienced frontcourt option to a roster built to compete for a championship.
Billings previously spent six seasons with the Atlanta Dream before playing for the Dallas Wings, Phoenix Mercury and Valkyries. She also competed for Hive BC during the 2026 Unrivaled season and represented the United States during the FIBA Women’s World Cup qualifying tournament.
Her career has required adaptability, and that versatility has helped her establish a meaningful role with the Fever.
Billings can rebound, defend multiple frontcourt positions and provide energy without needing the offense designed around her. Her willingness to do the less glamorous work has made her a useful piece alongside Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston.
There was nothing understated about her Sunday outfit, however.

Billings’ stylish entrance comes before difficult Fever loss
Billings’ pregame arrival came before a pivotal matchup in the WNBA playoff race. Indiana entered Sunday with a 27-14 record and an opportunity to create more separation from Washington in the standings. The Mystics instead took control early and earned a 93-77 victory.
Washington improved to 26-16 while Indiana fell to 27-15, tightening the race for postseason positioning. The Mystics shot 57 percent from the field and received dominant performances from their frontcourt. Kiki Iriafen finished with 21 points and 14 rebounds, while Shakira Austin recorded 20 points and 10 rebounds.
Caitlin Clark led the Fever with 25 points, but Indiana could not overcome a first half in which Washington built a 20-point advantage. The loss also gave the Mystics the head-to-head tiebreaker after the teams split their first two meetings of the season.
Indiana still has an opportunity to improve its position before the playoffs begin, but Sunday represented a missed chance for the Fever. Billings, meanwhile, provided one of the afternoon’s brightest moments before the game even started.
Between her coordinated plaid set, distinctive accessories and energetic entrance, the Fever forward made certain her latest tunnel appearance would not go unnoticed.
