MLB insider is confident the Red Sox will add another reliever before the offseason ends

The Boston Red Sox have been looking for a top-of-the-line high-impact reliever this offseason, and have yet to get one. However, MLB insider Robert Murray believes the Sox will find their man. “I firmly expect the Red Sox to add a reliever at this point.” Here’s a list of available relievers the Sox could go for.

David Robertson, Texas Rangers RHP

Robertson is a true MLB vet, and he’s still got it. This past season, the 39-year-old reliever put up a 3.00 ERA, 99 strikeouts, and a WHIP of 1.111 over 68 games.

Robertson could be the replacement for Chris Martin, taking over a late-game inning when needed.

Kirby Yates, Texas Rangers RHP

This past season, Yates had a 1.17 ERA, with 85 strikeouts, 33 saves, and a WHIP of .827 over 61 games.

Yates is definitely one of the top relievers left on the market, and it seems he might be plucked off by the ever-spending LA Dodgers. However, if the Sox got him, it would be a huge win.

Tommy Kahnle, New York Yankees RHP

Taking Kahnle away from the Yankees would be pretty funny, but it would also be beneficial. Last season, Kahnle had a 2.11 ERA, with 46 strikeouts and a WHIP of 1.148.

Kahnle would be a great reliever for late-game appearances, and unlike the other two options, he’s still in his mid-30s.

Hopefully, the Sox get one of these guys or someone of their skill level, because they need to make some big moves or else risk losing the fans’ trust until some front office changes are made.
